The long and short of the cost:

Some life stories are longer than others. Prices are driven by the number of interview hours, which determines the extent of writing, editing, and proofreading required. Here are the rough price ranges:

For 30 hours of interviews: $19,500, plus printing

For 40 hours of interviews: $24,500, plus printing

For 50 hours of interviews: $29,500, plus printing

The printing cost is usually in the range of $10-$20 per paperback copy or $20-$30 per hardcover copy.

The prices above include interviewing, writing, proofreading, and professional book layout and design. Some stories incur other incremental costs such as newspaper photo reprints and travel. If you’d like to find out more about costs, please contact me.

You can pick any topics you like. We’ll write up your answers in an engaging, easy-to-read style, add photos as you desire, and print 10 copies of an attractive paperback book.
